Fall to soon...

As I looked through the blogs I follow today the above photo by Yvan Rodic jumped out at me and made me wish it was sweater season already. I am so excited for the fall color pallet of neutrals displayed in the photo below that I found on the Miss at la Play blog. Don't get me wrong I love the summer sun but I have always been a fall fashion type of girl. Next post I will show you some the DIY projects I have been working on.

On the move...

Last weekend I moved apartments. Meaning I had to pack up all of my jewelry and clothes, which is not a small task. The first time I moved I could not think of a good way to move all of my jewelry. So I googled it and one of the sites suggested putting the necklaces in old pill bottles or film containers. Another suggested putting them in straws and tapping the ends. Both are effective just depends on what you have around.

Pill Bottle Method
Accessory corner in the new room
Necklaces hung on nails
Earnings on Cross Stitch Fabric

Run away

Photo Credit: Purple Dairy Dress Louis V

Days like today just make me want to run away to world full of dresses and fashion. And make me question my desicion to go into chemistry in stead of fashion. Today I was listening to a Business of Fashion interview of Jefferson Hack on the Style Rookies Blog he was talking about how he started his magazine, Dazed & Confused, and how he just started it with two people and they were complete outsiders. It just made me wonder what I could accomplish with my love of fashioin. That is why I started this blog...I have no idea what will happen with it. But for now I am just enjoying expressing my feelings and opinions about fashion. Thanks for reading!

Viennese Beach Love

When I was getting ready this morning the photo above appeared on my laptop screen saver slide show, and this outfit just kinda appeared in my head. I got this strippy t-shirt from an old roommate it is just kinda perfect and over sized and I never thought about putting orange with it until I saw the photo I took of the ocean in Venice. I took the photo with the intention of capturing the orange rope, it was just found the brown, blue, and orange were very complementary. The outfit below is my recreation of this photo in an outfit.

Shirt: H&M
Shorts: Cira
Jeans: Bullhead

Got My Favorite On

The title of this post was inspired by the Jack Penate song, Got My Favorite. This blue blouse is one of my favorites. It is just basic, simple, and an absolute perfect shade of vibrant blue. And always makes me feel absolutely perfect no matter how ugly I actually am that day. The first picture below is a photo of Valentina Panema in a perfectly simple white blouse, from the Garance Dore blog. Garance loves a basic blouse and so do I. It is just so simple that it just seems to bring out all the other beautiful features of a women. The following photo was taken in the Great Mosque in Cordoba Spain. It was one of my favorite pieces to wear while on my European tour.

A Simple Post

It has been way to long since I have last blogged. I am going to try to make a couple of excuses for myself, the first being that I was super busy living the perfect summer life :) the collage above are a few images from that life. The second excuse is that when I finally had a chance to blog I lost my camera :( lucky it was returned :) so I should be back to regular posts.

Now to the actual post! The theme of this post is braids. A simple theme. The fashion world is finally been forced to turn away from the crazy and over the top themes to wear able simple clothes. And as the July Vogue stated "Can we get an 'Amen' up in here?"

The shirt is from Buckle, the braided belt was taken of a pair of shirts from Cira, a store in Old Town Fort Collins.
